My Art Exhibition, Film Premiere
& Book Launch Tour, Australia 2025.

INTERCONNECTEDNESS - my art exhibition, book launch and film premiere event that I toured together with my friend Theo Calvet, who I made our ‘Interconnectedness’ film with.
This exhibition consisted of launching my book ‘The Little Tail’, two films (Interconnectedness & Can't Step Twice on the Same Piece of Water), and artworks by Sonja Vahasaari & Albert Falzon.
The exhibition was held in 5 different venues in 5 different towns/cities in Australia. I also invited local artists to exhibit their art in the events.
Every event had a donation box in order to raise funds for children’s education, ocean conservation and Indigenous communities.
I dreamed of this tour for so long!
INTERCONNECTEDNESS Details
Little Tail Book (Sonja Vahasaari, 2025)
I launched my book ’The Little Tail’ that I wrote and illustrated. It is a story of a dolphin who learns to overcome her insecurities and transmuting that into gratitude: she learns that our uniqueness is our magic. I wrote this book to remind us to embrace our uniqueness, practice self-love and aim to prevent bullying.
Can't Step Twice on the Same Piece of Water (Albert Falzon, 1993)
Albert Falzon’s film “Can’t Step Twice on the Same Piece of Water” is a surf/dolphin short film that carries a message for us to follow our passions, especially when people try to tell us “you can’t do it" (hence the name of the film).
INTERCONNECTEDNESS film (Sonja Vahasaari & Theo Calvet, 2025)
INTERCONNECTEDNESS is a surf film about the connection between a human and nature, ocean and inspiration. This is told through my personal story of where I am from and how ended up in Australia, what inspires me and how I see the world's beauty.
This idea came to me nearly two years ago and I started editing different versions of it few times but never got far with it. The message was strong though – I needed to make a film that celebrates my favorite topics - connection, nature, art and the joy of surfing. This year I pitched this idea to Theo and we merged our filming and editing talents together and the film was finally born!

The fourth exhibition event was at Bennett Surf Museum in Brookvale, NSW, Oct 2025.
We had featuring artist Joelan Wong exhibiting his paintings and Aaron Prego his tattoo styled artworks. The evening & turnout were INCREDIBLE!

BYRON BAY (MR VINTAGE)
The third exhibition event was at Mr Vintage in Byron Bay, NSW, Oct 2025.
We had featuring artist Tommy Franklin and Rest Your Eyes Production exhibiting their film ‘ OUT OF THE WILD’, DJ Dan on the decks, food from Asian Barbeque, drinks from Earth Beer Company & Byron Bay Spirits. Turnout was HUGE! Thank you everyone!
BRUNSWICK HEADS (ATMOSEA)
The second exhibition event was at Atmosea in Brunswick Heads, NSW, Oct 2025.
The atmosphere was so perfect and turnout was incredible! Thank you!!
CRESCENT HEAD
The first exhibition event was at The Station Boardstore in Crescent Head, NSW, 10th Oct 2025.
The turnout and the energy in the event was INCREDIBLE!!
We had featuring artist INDO exhibiting his paintings and Ellie on the guitar.
