INTERCONNECTEDNESS film (Sonja Vahasaari & Theo Calvet, 2025)
INTERCONNECTEDNESS – a surf film highlighting the connection between humans and the nature, ocean and inspiration. This is told through my personal story of where I am from and how ended up in Australia, what inspires me and how I see the world's beauty.
This idea came to me nearly two years ago and I started editing different versions of it few times but never got far with it. The message was strong though – I needed to make a film that celebrates my favorite topics - connection, nature, art and the joy of surfing. Last year I pitched this idea to Theo and we merged our filming and editing skills together and the film was finally born!
